Finance veteran will focus on raising capital for fast-growing venture

ProfitPoint Inc., a Franklin-based stored-value card venture, has hired Bob Moore, a veteran of 175 acquisitions and two IPOs, to be its chief financial officer.

Moore was CFO of Foster Medical in the mid-'80s when that company digested more than 100 acquisitions in four years before selling to Avon Products. Since then, he has worked as a consultant to a number of companies. He holds a bachelor's degree from LaSalle University.

ProfitPoint CEO Vaden Landers said Moore's "vast experience in the areas of finance, operations, mergers and acquisitions will serve us well as we look to continue to capture market share" in the fast-growing gift and loyalty card markets.

Founded in 2003, ProfitPoint raised $6 million from NewSpring Ventures and Clayton Associates 15 months ago. The company, which in March acquired an Ohio-based gift card provider, employs about 15 people in Franklin and about 75 people at its sales headquarters in the Philadelphia area.
