Financial software firm names new president

CPA takes reins at two-time Future 50 winner

Greg Lemon has been named president of Axis Accounting Systems, the West End-based marketer of financial software and consulting services.

A CPA by training and a former user of Axis' services, Lemon has spent time at accounting firms and and in house at private companies. He earned his bachelor's degree at the University of Tennessee and his MBA at Middle Tennessee State University.

"Greg's insight and relevant set of skills will bring tremendous value to our clients," said Axis founder and chairman Dallas Wilt. "He has been an end-user of one of our main product offerings for many years, which gives him great perspective."

Lemon takes over from Tammy Hawes, who was named president four years ago. Axis employs 10 people.
