CHS says Triad savings still on track, Advocat shareholder calls for vote on sale, and more...

In their quarterly filing with the SEC, Community Health Systems' brass say the integration of Triad hospitals generated $35 million in savings last quarter. Separately, they disclosed that the February sale of the company's Ireland hospital brought them $1.5 million.

California-based Bristol Capitol Advisors, which has been at the heels of Advocat management for more than a year, is calling for a vote on the hiring of an investment bank at next month's annual meeting. Search for "Paul Kessler."

Novo A/S, the Danish company that's BioMimetic Therapeutics' largest shareholder, last week invested about $500,000 to add to its stake. The company's filings are here and here.
