05-05-2008 1:11 PM

Counsel On Call, the Brentwood company that provides attorneys on a contract basis, has named a veteran of Philip Morris litigation to head its new Boston office.

Executive Director Nancy Reiner is a former partner at Brown Rudnick Berlack Israels, where she spent 17 years. She launched Massachusetts' litigation against Philip Morris, a case that resulted in a settlement of more than $8 billion. Reiner earned her bachelor's degree at Tufts University and her law degree from the Northeastern University School of Law.

Boston becomes Counsel On Call's sixth office. The company, founded eight years ago by Jane Allen, also has outposts in Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago and Memphis.
