Lipscomb pharmacy school names advisory board

High-powered group containing HCA, CVS execs to consult on workforce issues, other challenges

The new College of Pharmacy at Lipscomb University has named its first board of advisors to help Dean Roger Davis shape the school's approach to workforce issues and changes in the industry. The school will open its doors this fall.

The board, which met for the first time this week, contains executives from some of the biggest names from Nashville's pharmacy, hospital and legal arenas.

The advisors are:

- Bo Bartholomew, president, CEO and founder of medication manager PharmMD
- Janet Calhoun, senior vice president of product development and management at Healthways
- Dick Cowart, health care attorney at Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz
- Bill Hix, senior commercial officer of drug developer Cumberland Pharmaceuticals
- Joey Jacobs, CEO of mental health provider Psychiatric Solutions
- Don Nickleson, president, CEO and CPA at Comprehensive Pharmacy Services
- Dr. Jonathan Perlin, chief medical officer at HCA
- De Anna Smith, CEO of Sarah Cannon Cancer Center
- Papatya Tankut, vice president of pharmacy professional services at CVS/Caremark, where she also has overseen professional and college relations
