Secure Identity Systems, the Brentwood-based developer of ID theft protection software, has hired a 30-year veteran of the financial services sector to be its chief strategy officer.
Thomas Harkins comes to Secure Identity from Edentify Inc., where he was COO. Prior to that, he was vice president of security and risk at MasterCard International, where he worked with more than 400 financial institutions around the world.
At Secure Identity, Harkins will take charge of both product and business development with an eye to expanding the company's reach into the banking and government sectors as well as corporations.
"This company is a market leader with the potential to make a tremendous impact on the way people detect and prevent identity fraud," Harkins said.
