
Sam Payne, a litigation partner at Nashville law firm Evans, Jones & Reynolds, has moved to the local firm of Rudy, Wood & Winstead. He had been with Evans Jones for just over a decade.
Payne is a Nashville native with both undergraduate (cum laude) and law (Order of the Coif) degrees from Vanderbilt. At V.U. Law School, he was an editor for the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law. After graduating in 1992, he began his legal career with the Birmingham, Ala. firm Cabaniss, Johnston, Gardner, Dumas and O’Neal.
Payne's practice is focused on business and commercial litigation, including cases involving labor and employment, workers’ compensation, and legal malpractice defense.
