BioMimetic's boss gets 46 percent raise, Psych Solutions and Renal Advantage buying again, local CFOs see steady job market, and more...

CEO Sam Lynch and Franklin-based BioMimetic Therapeutics Inc. have signed a new five-year employment agreement that hikes Lynch's base salary by more than 40 percent. Lynch's previous deal (search for 'November 30') was signed in late 2004. Since then, BioMimetic (Ticker: BMTI) has gone public and built a $250 million market cap, but no profits.

Cracker Barrel (Ticker: CBRL) stores fought all the economic headwinds last month, notching a 0.9 percent same-store sales increase after hiking prices more than 3 percent.

Psychiatric Solutions (Ticker: PSYS) has lifted its 2008 earnings guidance after buying five inpatient centers in Florida and Kentucky.

Also on the healthcare acquisition front, Renal Advantage Inc. has bought the majority of a dialysis center in Florida, lifting its facility network to 87.

A Robert Half survey says nine out of 10 local CFOs expect no change in their companies' staffing levels this quarter.

Local radio stations WKDF and 104.5 The Zone posted strong numbers last year – as did other smaller-market clusters – helping parent company Citadel Broadcasting overcome dismal performances from its large markets.

BB&T has begun covering Franklin-based Clarcor (Ticker: CLC) and sees 17 percent upside in the stock.
