RFD-TV, the Nashville-based network catering to rural America, will begin broadcasting on Comcast's local digital tier at the end of this month.
The deal is RFD's first with Comcast. The seven-year-old network, which transmits its programming from Northstar Studios in North Nashville, reaches about 31 million households through various cable and satellite systems. Among its shows are "Imus in the Morning" and the new "Crook & Chase Show."
"We could not ask for a better way to begin the launch of RFD-TV on Comcast systems," said Patrick Gottsch, founder and president of Rural Media Group Inc., the parent of RFD. “Nashville is ... the perfect place for the introduction of our network to Comcast viewers and other regional Comcast carriers nationwide."
