Contractors get to work on elementary and beauty schools as well as Adelicia's restaurant and Bicentennial Mall

Shankle-Lind banks on schools

Shankle-Lind has pulled permits to make various ADA-related improvements at three Metro elementary schools. Its jobs at Dan Mills, Park Avenue and Kirkpatrick are worth a combined $1.1 million.


Beauty school drop-in

Cagle Development will rehab a section of the Kroger-anchored Shoppes at Hickory Hollow for national chain Regency Beauty Institute. The permit is valued at more than $914,000.


University Hospital research space

Another Permit Patrol, another Vanderbilt project: Turner Universal Construction has pulled a permit to finish out 1,200 square feet of the basement of Vanderbilt University Hospital for research space. The work is worth almost $1.1 million.


Sprucing up Bicentennial Mall

Baron + Dowdle Construction will work on the third phase of the renovation of Bicentennial Mall. The latest section of work is worth $703,000.


Setting the table at the Adelicia

The Arcon Group has pulled a permit worth almost $300,000 to build out about 5,400 square feet of restaurant space on the first floor of the Adelicia condominium tower. The eatery, Miro District Food and Drink, is owned by Hospitality Development Group, which also runs the Watermark in the Gulch.
