New bank to add offices in Cool Springs, Green Hills

Avenue Bank, the start-up headed by veteran local banker Ron Samuels, will this month break ground on an office in Green Hills and wrap up the buildout of a Cool Springs branch.

The Green Hills site is on Cleghorn Avenue, west of The Mall at Green Hills and near the new Bedford Commons development. The two-story, 7,300-square-foot building will open late this year and house Avenue's mortgage headquarters in addition to its third retail branch.

Before then, Samuels and his team will move into the 3,500-square-foot corner site of a new five-parcel center on Carothers Parkway near Bakers Bridge Avenue in Cool Springs. The bank is leasing the space from the Stevens Group, the local partner for Pennsylvania-based Silk & Stewart Development Group.

R.C. Mathews Contractor is handling both projects, which were designed by Tuck Hinton Architects.
