The Buntin Group has been chosen to develop a brand and communications strategy for John Deere's brand licensing group, which makes a range of clothing, garden and other products.

The local ad agency has done outdoor-related work in the past with Duck Head and Tractor Supply, among others. It will work with John Deere Brand Licensing on work clothing, shoes and personal accessories first, with an eye on this month's Magic Apparel Show in Las Vegas.

"John Deere is one of the preeminent brands in the world," said CEO Jeffrey Buntin Jr. "There is a lifestyle dimension to the brand that, whether they operate a tractor or not, can speak deeply with a unique type of consumer."
