
Amsino Medical USA, a manufacturer of syringes used in catheters will invest $3.5 million in expanding its local operations.
The expansion will almost add 84 jobs over the next two years, almost doubling Amsino's work force on Linbar Drive at Interstate 24 and Harding Place.
“We wanted to be in the middle of the health care market and hope to benefit from support by local companies buying our product to grow the local economy,” said Timir Patel, CEO of Amsino.
Economic development officials said Amsino chose to expand in Nashville rather than Maryland. The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce's Partnership 2010 initiative partnered with the Tennessee Valley Authority to arrange a set of incentives that includes training, low-interest loans and energy credits.
