Former Nashville Predator Stu Grimson has joined local law firm Kay Griffin Enkema & Brothers.

Grimson, 43, played in the National Hockey League from 1987 to 2003 and spent the 2001-2002 season with the Preds. Known as an enforcer, he also played in Calgary, Chicago, Anaheim, Detroit, Carolina, Hartford and Los Angeles. In all, he played in more than 700 games, logging 11 goals and more than 2,100 penalty minutes.

After retiring, he earned his law degree from the University of Memphis, which he put to use in 2006 and 2007 as in-house counsel for the NHL Players' Association in Toronto.

Five-year-old Kay Griffin has focus areas in business and construction litigation and also does employment, intellectual property and trucking work, among others. The firm earlier this year added two other attorneys to its roster.
