After gearing up last year, local start-up Avenue Bank has opened its second branch.
The new branch, located at West End Avenue and 30th Avenue, follows the Cummins Station location, which was opened in the latter half of last year. Additionally, the bank in November opened its headquarters in the Baggage Building at Union Station.
Avenue was organized last year by, among others, CEO Ron Samuels, the former local chief of Regions Bank, and financial industry veteran Kent Cleaver who serves as executive vice president and COO. It raised $75 million in initial capital.
