Triad vet named CEO of AmSurg

Replaces Ken McDonald, who previously announced plans to retire

09-25-2007 3:50 PM — According to an announcement from AmSurg this afternoon, Triad veteran Chris Holden will succeed Ken P. McDonald as president and CEO of the company.

As NashvillePost.com reported in April, McDonald had previously stated that he planned to name a successor within the year.

Holden was most recently a division president with Triad Hospitals, which was recently bought by Nashville’s Community Health Systems.  He had been an officer with that company since its founding in 1999.

His appointment to the new role will be effective Oct. 1.
