Yet another corporation is choosing to leave Davidson County for Williamson County.
Nashville-based CHD Meridian Healthcare is heading for Franklin, joining Verizon Wireless and Healthways in making the decision to make the move to Williamson County. CHD Meridian currently leases space at 40 Burton Hills Blvd., an office building it helped anchor in 2002 with Symbion. The company apparently is buying out the lease. Real estate sources say CHD Meridian had been trying to sublease the space for some time.
First Industrial Realty will construct a 50,000-square-foot building for the workplace healthcare company along Creekstone Boulevard in Franklin, off South Royal Oaks Boulevard and south of Highway 96. CHD Meridian, part of Chadds Ford, Pa.-based I-trax, will occupy more than 20,000 square feet initially and expand into the rest over time. The building will be ready next May. David McRae and Dave Koziak, both brokers with Newmark Knight Frank in Nashville, represented CHD Meridian in signing the lease.
A month ago, Verizon Wireless announced it was constructing a 180,000-square-foot building in Aspen Grove, a business park in the Cool Springs area, and will move operations out of Grassmere Business Park in Nashville. Healthways will soon move into a new headquarters Highwoods Properties is building in Cool Springs off Carothers Parkway.
