The popular 12th South eatery Mafiaoza's has decided to take on a second location.

Its owners, Lars Kopperud and Nashville attorney Mike Dolan, have struck a deal with the planned Cumberland Yacht Harbor to become the lead restaurant for the mixed-use development on the Cumberland River in Donelson.

Mafiaoza's will occupy about 7,800 square feet and have another 2,400 square feet of outdoor dining that will overlook the harbor. The restaurant will be part of The Lighthouse, the commercial area of the harbor. Kopperrud and Dolan opened Mafiaoza's in the burgeoning 12th South four years ago and has become a popular location.

The harbor is being developed by a team consisting of Tower Investments, Varallo Investment Properties, Parkes Development Group and Hardaway Group.

Tower bought a majority stake in the deal in April. Since then, there's been some redesign of the project. As originally planned, the development was to have 181 condominiums, docks for 200 boats up to 100 feet long and 33,000 square feet of retail space.

The number of condos could change. Worth Properties has been in the process of preselling units, which start at $349,000.

According to the announcement, the Nashville Yacht Club has expressed its intent to make Cumberland Yacht Harbor its permanent home.

If all goes as planned, groundbreaking is set for Nov. 29, starting first on the marina.
