Avondale Partners LLC's Research Managing Director Sean Jackson, several times ranked among The Wall Street Journal's "Best of the Street," has ceded the healthcare information technology sector to colleague Ben Green, who will focus entirely on that investment hotspot.

Jackson told NashvillePost.com this morning Avondale decided to dedicate more resources to healthcare IT. He explained that with Green shouldering that growing load, he is now free to build a portfolio of financial-technology equities, while retaining information security and data-analytics research assignments. Jackson joined Avondale in 2001 after serving as director and senior analyst with SunTrust Equitable Securities.

Green earned an M.B.A. at Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management. Earlier, he worked for Bankers Trust and Deutsche Bank as an operations project manager and a risk & control specialist. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alabama.

Joining Jackson as associate analyst is recent hire Andrew Sloane, who was previously a financial-technologies analyst and team leader with SNL Finance, headquartered in Charlottesville, Va. Sloane earned his bachelor's in business at the University of South Carolina.
