Adventure Science Center construction underway, Grand Lodge getting interior renovations, Avenue Bank begins on its new space, Green Hills Chico's moving inside, and more
04-05-2007 2:50 PM — Expanding Science The Parent Co. pulled the permit for construction of the 32,865-square-foot addition to the Adventure Science Center. The work is valued at $7.5 million.
Mason renovations R.C. Mathews Contractor is doing interior renovations to The Grand Lodge of Tennessee, Free and Accepted Masons at 100 Seventh Ave. N. The work must be extensive, since the permit is valued at $4.4 million.
Need a lift Bruce Adams Construction is replacing the elevator in a US Smokeless Tobacco building at 800 Harrison St. The permit is valued at $2.2 million.
Apartment roofing Crawford, Smith & Sharp is replacing the roofs and siding on all building of Knollwood Apartments at 865 Bellevue Road. The permits total $1.4 million.
Furniture showroom DWC Construction is rehabbing the interior of a building at 714 Eighth Ave. S. for Alfred Williams & Co., an office furniture firm. The space will be used as a showroom. Its permit is valued at $500,000.
Avenue Bank working space National Building is rehabbing 8,800 square feet of Cummins Station for the new Avenue Bank. That space will house the bank branch and the permit is valued at $335,000. Avenue Bank, which is a new start up by former Regions bank executive Ron Samuels and financial industry veteran Kent Cleaver, also leased space in the Baggage Building, pushing the total space to 23,540 square feet. R.C. Mathew Contractor is handling the renovation on part of the space. Tom Hooper, a broker with Eakin Partners, handled the lease for Cummins Station and the Baggage Building. Charlie Warfield of Brookside Properties represented Avenue Bank.
Chico's moves inside Management Resource Systems is rehabbing a space in the Mall at Green Hills for Chico's, which is outside the mall in strip at the edge of its parking lot. The permit is valued at $338,650.
Learning religion McKnight Development is constructing a foundation for a two-story, 26,000 square foot building for the Church of Nazarene at 99 Lester Ave. The building would have a basement and as well as four classrooms and multi-use space. The permit is valued at $315,780.
Fitting for a king Interiors International is rehabbing a portion of a building at 1801 Antioch Pike for King Market. The permit is valued at $300,000.
