Beck A. Taylor, dean of the school of business at Samford University in Birmingham, Ala., has been named to the board of directors of Goldleaf Financial Solutions, based in Brentwood.
Taylor, who holds a Ph.D. in economics from Purdue University and has been a visiting scholar at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, is involved in a variety of private-sector consulting activities. His clients have included oil companies Arco and Citgo as well as the National Collegiate Athletic Association.
Goldleaf, formerly Private Business Inc., provides technology-based solutions for commercial banks.
