People: Boult Cummings attorney named Lipscomb trustee

03-07-2007 5:16 PM — Lipscomb University announced today that it has named local attorney Robert Wood to its board of trustees. Wood, managing director of Boult Cummings Conners & Berry, has been with the firm since 1983 in its real estate practice.

Wood is active within the Church of Christ, the denomination with which Lipscomb is affiliated. Currently he serves as an elder for the Harpeth Hills Church of Christ. Among his other civic involvments is his position as a director for Rockettown, a downtown entertainment venue for teens conceived by Christian recording artist Michael W. Smith.

In addition to his new trustee duties, Wood currently serves as president of the Lipscomb University Business Leadership Council.

Lipscomb also announced the addition of four other board members today. They are: Robert Brackett of Vero Beach, Fla., James Barry of Lebanon, Tenn., Pete Gunn of Benton, Ky, and Mark Yokley of Hunstville, Ala.
