Local management-led buyout firm Gen Cap America announced two recent deals today.
In February, the firm acquired Metro Boiler Tube Company, which distributes, fabricates and cuts tubing used in boilers for primarily industrial clients. The company is based in Ringgold, Georgia, 15 miles outside of Chattanooga.
Gen Cap also bought out Myco Trailers in a deal that closed on March 12. The Bradenton, Fla-based company deisgns and sells high-end custom boat trailers. In addition to recreational clients, the company also provides trailers to the military.
Riney Green at Stites & Harbison was counsel to Gen Cap on the Metro Boiler transaction. Jim Kelley of Neal & Harwell in Nashville worked the Myco deal.
Gen Cap is currently in the process of investing its $100 million Southwest Fund V LP.
