In an announcement released today, Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign announced its Tennessee steering committee.
Co-chairing the committee will be former State Senator Thelma Harper, well-known philanthropist and former chair of the Public Service Commission Jane Eskind, and former Governor Ned McWherter, whose involvement comes as no surprise given his friendship with former President Bill Clinton.
The committee itself is comprised of more than 100 members from across the state. Notable Nashville additions include attorney Byron Trauger, lobbyist Dick Lodge, and former U.S. Senator Harlan Mathews.
Today's announcement follows news from earlier in the week that rival candidate Barack Obama has opened an office here in Nashville.
