10-08-2007 12:15 PM — Despite being less than six months old, Brentwood’s Simplex Diabetic Supply has already become one of the leaders in its industry. And now with a $50 million infusion of capital the rapid expansion can continue.
The company, a provider of diabetic testing supplies, has already become the 12th largest of the more than 52,000 Medicare Diabetes Suppliers.
The investment comes from well-known venture capital outfit New Enterprise Associates. The firm, with U.S. offices in California and Maryland, currently has more than $8.5 billion in committed capital.
In addition to the investment, NEA general partners Chip Linehan and Ryan Drant will join the Simplex board.
