Opens office with three brokers who left their respective companies last month

A new national commercial real estate name as been added to the Nashville market – Newmark Knight Frank.

The New York firm has hooked up with Dave Koziak and Buck Forcum, former brokers with Grubb & Ellis/Centennial, and David McRae, a former leasing representative with Crescent Resources in Franklin. All three went on their own about a month ago. They still own the office but have a license agreement with Newmark that allows them to operate as if they were owned by Newmark.

Newmark Knight Frank has nearly 150 offices around the world. In June, Commercial Property News listed the firm as the third most powerful brokerage firm in the country, based on $41.5 billion in transaction volume last year. The top spot went to CB Richard Ellis, which has an office here. Second went to Cushman & Wakefield, which is affiliated with Nashville Commercial. Grubb & Ellis was fourth.

The task now for Koziak, Forcum and McRae is educating prospective clients on Newmark and what it offers.
