As originally posted:
Gov. Phil Bredesen has traveled to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota this morning to seek medical advice for what was called a "tick bite" that has ailed him since early last week, according to Bredesen spokesman Bob Corney.
Contacted by NashvillePost.com early this morning, Corney said Bredesen and his wife, Andrea Conte, decided late last night to seek medical advice from a doctor at the clinic on an out-patient basis. Corney also stated, "the trip and the visit will be short. The governor is not incapacitated, his fever has broken, he's just not feeling 100 percent."
Bredesen's staff said that there will be a more detailed briefing on the Governor's condition later today.
