Wellness Environments exec dies suddenly

Cause unknown in death of 48-year-old VP at healthcare-equipment firm

Bill Doctor, vice president for operations at Nashville-based healthcare firm Wellness Environments, has died. He was 48.

Brenda Gardner, marketing director at the provider of furniture and fixtures designed for hospital and clinic use, confirmed Doctor's death but could provide no details on its circumstances.

According to the Wellness Environments website, Doctor had "engineering, general management, P&L, and operating experience with both startup and established companies." Before he joined Wellness, Doctor was with Concentric Visions, a venture capital-funded company in Burlington, Mass. He was a magna cum laude graduate of the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass. Doctor resided in Franklin.
