Jerry Cover, former head of Private Business Inc. and Rivals.com, has become chairman of Nashville startup ReZoom.com, according to an announcement today by ReZoom founder and President Gary A. Glover.

Glover told NashvillePost.com this morning that he and Cover are funding Geneses LLC, the holding company that controls the ReZoom.com media properties, which are aimed at the affluent portion of the 45-65 age group.

Glover described Cover as "the Internet brains behind what we're doing." Cover, who was not immediately available for comment this morning, is quoted in a ReZoom release today as saying, "I look at ReZoom.com as the next phase of my life."

Glover said in addition to original content, ReZoom.com media will use social-networking features to enable readers to evaluate products and services and share personal information. Glover explained that additional ReZoom.com media will be introduced to help drive traffic to ReZoom.com, starting with ReZoom.com The Magazine, a reader-service publication ReZoom.com will publish annually beginning in January, with an initial advertiser rate guarantee of a half-million circulation.

Glover also owns The Glover Group, which publishes playbills under contract for Tennessee Performing Arts Center, the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, Vanderbilt's Martha Rivers Ingram Performance Center and other venues. In August, The Glover Group will introduce an annual publication, Nashville Arts & Entertainment.

Glover said the ReZoom.com website and annual publication will be edited by Dolly Carlisle, a former Nashville correspondent for People magazine.
