07-18-2006 3:40 PM — VerusMed, a publisher of medical and healthcare news, has announced that Jeffrey Caplan has been named executive vice president of product development and marketing, based in Nashville. Caplan has previously held similar positions with local companies such as Medibuy and most recently with EnergyLogic, an energy-saving heating products company.
VerusMed is currently based in Scottsdale, Ariz. and is run by former Nashville Business Journal publisher and HealthLeaders CEO Scott McQuigg. Back in April, it received a round of funding from Nashville-based Petra Capital Partners.
