Former Sundquist and House Democratic Caucus Spokesperson offers up book on life in Manhattan

Janna Fite Herbison, a former press secretary for former Governor Don Sundquist and the Tennessee House Democratic Caucus has just published her first book, Southern in The City... A Mason-Dixon View of Manhattan.

Herbison, also a former television news reporter in Knoxville, will appear at Landmark Booksellers in Franklin to for a book signing this weekend.

"I am very excited to return to the Nashville area for this event," said Herbison, who now lives in Memphis. "The book includes stories about my experiences in Nashville, and it also features some notable Nashville residents."

The book, published by Main Street Press, covers 20 years of "adventures in Manhattan" that Herbison has enjoyed on various travels. She dispenses travel, dining, and entertainment advice for those headed for the "Big Apple."

Saturday's signing will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at Landmark Booksellers, 114 East Main Street in Franklin.
