Foundation work begins for new labor department office T.W. Frierson Contractor Inc. has started construction on the foundation for the 240,000-square-foot building for the Tennessee Department of Labor at 230 Athens Way in MetroCenter. The permit is valued at $1.3 million.
Highway 100 Publix adding retail space J.E. Crain & Son Inc. is constructing shell retail space on both sides of the Publix grocery store being constructed at 8000 Highway 100. One side will have 7,000 square feet and the other side will have 16,000 square feet. The permit is valued at $1.2 million.
Another Walgreen's in Nashville Carden Co. Inc. is constructing a Walgreen's at 1804 Charlotte Ave. The permit on the 14,550-square-foot building is valued at $1.2 million.
Cardiology space for Wilkerson Center Turner Universal Construction Co. is rehabbing the fifth floor of Vanderbilt's Bill Wilkerson Center for cardiology. The permit is valued at $433,000.
