U.S. Senator-elect Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) has announced that Mobile, Ala. native David Armand DeKeyser will serve as his chief of staff. DeKeyser previously served as chief of staff for U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) for eight years.

In a prepared statement, Corker called DeKeyser "a proven, experienced leader," and said he will "play an integral role in forming and managing our team, and making sure that every day we are committed to serving and representing the people of Tennessee."

In addition to his work for Sessions in the U.S. Senate, DeKeyser has served as an Army transportation officer in Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm, worked in the mayor's office in his hometown of Mobile, and been chief administrative officer for the Alabama Attorney General's office in the late 1990s for then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Dekeyser has most recently served as executive director of government relations at law firm Kilpatrick Stockton LLP in Washington, D.C..
