Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management has announced the establishment of a board of visitors, including some of the best-known names in Nashville business, intended to strengthen the MBA program's networking ties and "ensure relevance to the national and international business communities," according to a press release from the school.
The advisors will offer "insights on curricular issues in relation to the needs of business, participating as guest speakers and opening new doors for mentoring and career opportunities," the announcement said.
More than half of the appointees, including several from outside Nashville, are V.U. alumni. The release said a number of them have been financial supporters of Owen in the past. Appointees serve three year terms with two meetings per year. Their first meeting took place last month.
