06-20-2002 12:00 AM — Publix Super Martkets announced Thursday that it has bought eight Albertsons stores in the Nashville area and will convert them to Publix locations.

One of the stores is an Albertson’s fuel center and convenience store.

The Lakeland, Fla.-based food store chain has acquired the following sites:

* Oakwood Commons, 4670 Lebanon Road
* Indian Lake Marketplace, 110 Indian Lake Blvd. in Hendersonville
* Bellevue Center, 7604 Hwy. 70 South
* Cool Springs Festival, 8105 Moores Lane
* Harpeth Village, 2020 Fieldstone Parkway in Franklin
* Crossgate Village, 2381 Murfreesboro Road
* Franklin Marketplace, 1021 Center Point Place in Franklin (The fuel center and convenience store is located on the property of the Franklin Marketplace shopping center.).

Bob Moore, Atlanta unit vice president, said in a release, “We're excited to enter the Nashville market and look forward to serving all our new customers. This fall we will open Oakwood Commons and Franklin Marketplace as well as the fuel center and convenience store. We expect to remodel and have all locations open by the summer of 2003.”
