Gresham Smith's Thome to lead IIDA's Tenn. chapter

Gresham, Smith and Partners architect David Thome has been elected president of the International Interior Design Association's Tennessee chapter for 2000-2002.

The IIDA was formed in 1994 from the merger of the Institute of Business Designers, the International Society of Interior Designers and the Council of Federal Interior Designers. It has 10,000 members worldwide.

Thome joined Gresham Smith in February as a senior design principal for the health-care studio. Previously, was director of design for Enwright Associates in Greenville, S.C.
